Born on 30.03.1964 in Bressanone (BZ).
Sculpture apprenticeship with his father Richard Salcher. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Prof. Ladner. Worked as a freelance artist in Munich until 1997, then moved to Ortisei, where he now lives and works. He has been a member of the South Tyrolean Artists' Association since 1998. Thaddäus Salcher seeks the roots of pure and essential form in his inventions, which are cast in iron and depicted in large dimensions.

Nasce il 30.03.1964 a Bressanone (BZ).
Svolge l'apprendistato da scultore dal padre Richard Salcher per poi frequentare l'Accademia di Arti Figurative di Monaco con il Prof. Ladner. Nel 1997 inizia la sua attività artistica a Monaco di Baviera e qualche anno più tardi, si trasferisce a Ortisei dove vive e lavora attualmente. Thaddäus Salcher ricerca le origini della forma pura ed essenziale presentando, in una brillante varietà di proposte, le sue invenzioni risolte nel ferro e sempre di grandi dimensioni.

Bildhauerlehre beim Vater Richard Salcher. Studium an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste, München bei Prof. Ladner. Arbeitet als freischaffender Künstler bis 1997 in München, zieht dann nach St. Ulrich, wo er jetzt wohnt und arbeitet. Seit 1998 ist er Mitglied des Südtiroler Künstlerbundes. Thaddäus Salcher sucht die Wurzeln der reinen und wesentlichen Form in seinen Erfindungen, welche aus Eisen gegossen sind und in großen Dimensionen dargestellt werden.
