La scultura On the Tentacle di Nicola Samori, concepita per la chiesa di Sant Antonio di Ortisei ed esposta in questo centro come statua totemica, propone un viaggio nei labirinti di uno "stato d'animo vernacolare", insinuando un dubbio sull'ingenuo desiderio di eternità dell'arte cattolica. Una figura monumentale spaccata di un santo, eseguita in legno di noce, drammatizza le molteplici relazioni tra l'individuo e una comunità, il presente e il futuro, il mondano e il rituale, generando una nuova intimità per un mondo complesso di ambiguità e fede sospesa. Die Skulptur On the Tentacle von Nicola Samori, die für die Kirche Sant Antonio in St. Ulrich konzipiert wurde und in diesem Zentrum als totemistische Statue ausgestellt ist, bietet eine Reise durch die Labyrinthe eines "volkstümlichen Geisteszustands" und lässt Zweifel an dem genialen Wunsch der katholischen Kunst nach Ewigkeit aufkommen. Eine gespaltene monumentale Heiligenfigur aus Nussbaumholz dramatisiert die vielfältigen Beziehungen zwischen dem Individuum und einer Gemeinschaft, der Gegenwart und der Zukunft, dem Alltäglichen und dem Rituellen und schafft eine neue Intimität für eine komplexe Welt der Zweideutigkeiten und des suspendierten Glaubens.
